Over the years I lived in Toronto, 2008 to 2016, I evolved from a late-20s-music-and-skateboard-loving-socialite to a completely-socially-isolated-creative. This photo is from my place in the Upper Beaches, East Toronto, where I sunk into isolation. The edit below used a Photoshop color lookup table (LUT) I made around that time, which maps certain colors to certain shades in a picture. A lot of photos that I’ll be posting use this LUT, as well as videos and all the book covers I’ll show. It’s the most consistent design element I have used for anything ever. In a future post I’ll compare this with the style I used in my AnyLastWords website, which was reflective of my previous aesthetic, an aesthetic I used to choose colors for painting an apartment, for fashion, for other graphic design projects, and for my photographic eye. But here I just want to exhibit the color scheme as it is in this image from the Upper Beaches place, the place where I became immersed in social isolation.
